Abstract

Bergman(1974)foundthatforanyprimenumberp,theendomorphism ringEnd(Zp×Zp2) isasemilocal ringwhichhasp5 elementsandcannotbeembeddedinmatricesoveranycommutativering. Lateron,Climentetal. (2011) foundthateachelementofendomorphismringEnd(Zp×Zp2)canbeidentifiedas atwobytwomatrixofEpwherethefirstandthesecondrowentriesbelongtoZp andZp2 respectively.Bythischaracterization,LongD.T.,ThuD.T.,andThucD. N.constructedanewRSAvariantbasedonEnd(Zp×Zp2)(2013). Inthispaper, westatethecharacteristicoftheendomorphismringEnd(Zp2×Zp)andtheRSA analoguecryptosystembasedonit.
